My name is Alexandre Breton and I am the Founder & President of The Market Mavericks. I am a fourth year student at the Telfer School of Management, enrolled in the accelerated Master’s of Science in Management program specialized in Business Analytics. I have always been passionate about business and writing, and I wanted to find a way for business enthusiasts to come together and share their thoughts with the community. The Market Mavericks is way more than an online journal, it’s a place where thoughts become words, and words turn into a conversation. I find a lot of beauty and strength in people who make their voices heard on subjects that matter to them, and in this day and age, the business world is populated of more passionate people than ever before. Empowering minds and elevating business is what we’re all about, and we’re very proud of it.

Hi everyone, my name is Adam and I'm a student entering his fourth year in Business Technology Management, on a Co-Op terms with IBM for this fall. I am currently the Editor-In-Chief of the Market Mavericks and joined the organization around last june.I joined The Market Mavericks in the hope of creating a shared ecosystem of knowledge and experience, from students with different perspectives. I truly believe that such an environment can pave anyone, at any stage towards a better direction with a great bank of knowledge!!

My name is Mélodie Leblond-Champagne, and I hold the position of First VP Internal at The Market Mavericks. I am starting my fourth year of studies in general management at the Telfer School of Management. With a little over two years of experience in running my own small business, @paimons.boutique, you may say I am a very passionate entrepreneur! This experience has provided me with tangible expertise and knowledge that I am excited to share with the members of our organization.I joined The Market Mavericks to connect with curious, like-minded students who want to share their passions with the university community. I am excited to see our team grow and create intricate content!

Antoinette Akkawi

My name is Antoinette and I am the VP of External Affairs for The Market Mavericks! The VP External Affairs builds and maintains relationships with external stakeholders, such as industry professionals, partners, sponsors, and other clubs at the Telfer School of Management.I will be representing The Market Mavericks in external events, negotiate partnerships, and the exploration of collaboration opportunities to enhance visibility, credibility, and networking.I am an international management student at telfer entering my 4th year and in the co-op program. I have done my co-op terms with Global Affairs Canada working in marketing and international trade. I am interested in exploring sustainable business practices and hope to learn a lot from all the connections the market mavericks will be making this year!

Grace Matthews

My name is Grace and I’m the first VP of Marketing for The Market Mavericks. I am headed into my fourth year as a marketing student in the Telfer school of management! I’m a participant of the Co-Op program offered at uOttawa which has provided me with many opportunities to grow my own experiences and my network. I am incredibly excited to be an active member of this team, aiming to spread student’s knowledge to the business world. It is my belief that as students, we can provide valuable insight into what current trends and topics are relevant to our futures within the industry. I love seeing the collaboration and support between Telfer students of different specializations and it is my hope that The Market Mavericks can be a platform to better encourage these interactions.
